The morning of July 28, Homeland Environment and Disaster Monitoring Laboratory of the National Mapping Bureau of the First Academic Committee was held its third meeting in the conference of New Century Grand Hotel.

National Mapping Geographic Information Deputy Secretary Li Pengde, Academic Committee Academician Chen Junyong, Academic Committee Academician Ning Jinsheng, Professor Liu Yaoyi, Professor Chen Yi, Professor Li Chunsheng, Professor Shizhaoliang, Researcher Wu Lan, Senior Engineer Xu Tieshu and Professor Gao Jingxiang attended the meeting.

State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information Technology and International Cooperation Department Technology Deputy Director Associate Professor Zheng Zuoya, Hebei Province Bureau of Surveying & Mapping Wu Xuewei, Professor Graduate Dean Bian zhengfu, Deputy Director of Science and Technology, Associate Professor Chen Xinzhong and mapping disciplines Dean, Laboratory Director Professor Wang Yunjia, deputy director of Key Laboratory of Professor Guo Guangli and laboratory staff attended the meeting. Chancellor Professor Ge Shirong attended the meeting.

Chancellor Professor Ge Shirong on behalf of China University of Mining, Hebei Province Deputy Surveyor Senior Engineer Xu Tieshu on behalf of Hebei Province Bureau of Surveying and Mapping made speeches respectively. Laboratory Director Professor Wang Yunjia made a report about laboratory work of last year, in which were detailed in Research projects & results, laboratory construction and foreign exchange, etc. Deputy Director Professor Guo Guangli reported the laboratory building “Twelfth Five Year Plan” and funds.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary for National Mapping Li Pengde and other members lively discuss the work of laboratory during the previous year, future development and the management of open funds. They spoke highly of the laboratory in scientific research, personnel training, international exchanges & cooperation, laboratory construction & management, etc.

It was observed that during the “Twelfth Five Year Plan” the laboratory should be strengthened the development of strategic analysis, refine the vision for the future development of the work, further highlight the features, positioning, core competence, integrating resources, and strive to become a national key laboratories; Full use of China University of Mining & Hebei province Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, to develop superior talent through scientific research and production practices; To seize the “Twelfth Five Year Plan” opportunity, in the perception of mine, geographic conditions to monitor, mine safety and other areas make a deeply research, meet national development, promote academic development with projects; Increase the standard-setting work, and actively participate in land and disaster monitoring, the geographical situation monitoring, perception mining and other related fields‘ projects, through various channels to actively apply for awards, and focus on results of the project concise and application.
